1. More Rain a Possibility: Today will be mostly cloudy with a high around 75 degrees, according to the National Weather Service. After 1 p.m. there is a 40 percent chance of rain and thunderstorms. Tonight, expect partly cloudy skies with a low near 61.

2. Parkinson’s Support Group: Both Parkinson’s sufferers and caregivers of those suffering from Parkinson’s disease are meeting today for a at the from 11 a.m. to noon. The support group meets every third Tuesday of the month.

3. Adopt, Adopt, Adopt!: It is Manalapan Week at the Monmouth County SPCA. As a part of their Community Pets Program the MCSPCA is featuring a different town every week from August through October. This week, Aug. 15 - Aug. 21, the MCSPCA is featuring Manalapan Township. This week only, if you are a resident of Manalapan and adopt a dog or a cat from the MCSPCA in Eatontown you will receive a barrage of free gifts! For more information, click . 
 

 

 

4. Manalapan-Englishtown BOE: The Manalapan-Englishtown Board of Education meets tonight at the on 54 Main St. in Englishtown at 7:30 p.m. For tonight’s agenda, click here.

 

 

5. 9/11 Aftermath: How did 9/11 effect you? Was a loved one lost or deployed after the events? Did you switch political parties or were inspired to begin volunteering?
