1. Sunny Day: Today will be sunny with a high around 81 degrees, according to the National Weather Service. Tonight will remain clear with a low around 60.

2. County Libraries: The has reopened and has full internet access, although other libraries within the county are still closed due to power outages: Marlboro Township Library, Colts Neck Township Library, Monmouth County Library - Eastern Branch. Ocean Township Library is currently open, but phone service is unavailable.

3. Public Works to Pick Up Brush: The Manalapan Township Department of Public Works will go around the . The DPW will only go through the township once, so they are asking residents to be patient. Please place all debris at your curb before Sept.6. 

 

 

4. Register for “Walk with Joe”: The 5K walk which commemorates Patrick “Joe” Driscoll, and all others who lost their lives on Sept. 11, will take place at Monmouth Battlefield State Park on Saturday, Sept. 10. The walk begins at 10 a.m. Registration costs $15 for those over 7 years of age, and all money raised goes to various charities. For more information, click . 

 

 

5. New Staff Orientation for MHS: All new staff hired within the Freehold Regional High School District will have orientation today and tomorrow. Today, the staff will meet at the Freehold Township High School, originally scheduled to take place at Colts Neck High School. Tomorrow, the staff will meet at their home schools for orientation.
