1. Rain Continues All Day: Today there is a 90 percent chance of rain - which may come in periods, according to the National Weather Service. The high temperature today will reach around 57. Tonight, the rain will likely continue (80 percent chance), and should finish around midnight; low temperature will drop to near 44 degrees.

2. Government:

  • Township Committee Workshop Meeting (closed executive session) will be held at 2 p.m. today.  The Township Committee Public Meeting (open to the public) will be held in the courtroom of the at 3 p.m. For tonight’s agenda, click here. A public hearing on an ordinance amending and supplementing a section of Chapter 33 regarding the table of organization of the .
  • The Environmental Commission meets in room 213 of the at 8 p.m.

4. Where to Celebrate Chanukah Today:

  • Come to today for a free talk entitled  . Guest speaker Liz Salston, a historian and geriatric care manager, will host the free educational seminar today at 2 p.m.
  • Meet at the menorah in parking lot tonight for . There will be a walk around the temple followed by a Chanukah program inside of the Temple full of singing, stories and refreshments - including latkes!

 

 

5. : Yesterday, the underwent some administrative changes. Jeff Simon, ’s Principal, is currently on a paid administrative leave while he is being investigated. The district will not comment as to the nature of the investigation, but have said that it does not involve any students. The Human Resources Administrative Supervisor, Jennifer Sharp, has replaced Simon. Assistant Principal of Manalapan High School, Thomas Gallahue, has traded positions with the Assistant Principal of Freehold Township High School, Adam Angelozzi.
