Five Things to Know Today: Feb. 21, 2012

1. Warm Day: Today will be mostly sunny with a high temperature around 50, according to the National Weather Service. The day may also be a bit breezy, with wind gusts reaching up to 24 MPH. Tonight, the clouds roll in, the temperature drops to about 39, and there is a 20 percent of rain.

 

 

2. MERS BOE: The Manalapan-Englishtown Regional School District Board of Education will meet at 7:30 p.m. at the Pine Brook School, located at 155 Pease Rd.

4. “Genghis Blues”: As part of African American History Month, the Monmouth County Library will be playing “Genghis Blues” twice today. The documentary film follows the blind, blues musician Paul Pena. Catch the Academy Awared nominated documentary at 2 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.
 

 

 

5. Parkinson’s Support Group: CentraState Medical Center is hosting a Parkinson’s Support Group at the Manalapan Senior Center at 11:30 a.m. today. Sufferers of the disease, as well as loved ones, are encouraged to attend.
