Martin Luther King, Jr. Day: Today the nation celebrates the most influential African-American rights advocate, Martin Luther King, Jr., a major leader of the African-American Civil Rights Movement. From a Baptist minister to the youngest man ever to receive a Nobel Peace Prize, King embodied strong morality and fearless determination. 5. MERS Summer Program 2012 Enrollment Open: Enrollment for Manalapan-Englishtown Regional School’s Summer Program 2012 is now open! Classes will be held at from July 9 to Aug. 9. Enrollment is limited and courses will close when they are full. Registration must be received by May 1, however, some may be accepted based on available space.
