Five Things to Know Today: Jan. 17, 2012

1. Rainy Day: There is a 90 percent chance of rain today, which will most likely fall after 4 p.m., according to the National Weather Service. The high today will be about 51.  Tonight, the rain continues and may stop around 7 p.m. Otherwise, the sky remains cloudy and the low temperature drops to 36.

 

 

2. MERS District BOE Meeting: The Manalapan-Englishtown Regional School District Board of Education is holding their regular meeting tonight at their in Englishtown at 7:30 p.m.

4. : It’s New Release Tuesday at the ! Come watch Woody Allen’s latest flick, Midnight in Paris, starring Owen Wilson, Rachel McAdams, Kurt Fuller and Mimi Kennedy.  The film just won Best Screenplay at the 2012 Golden Globes. Screenings today will be held at 11 a.m. and 6:30 p.m.

 

 

5. !: If you are trying to lose some weight and are diabetic - this interactive group session is for you! You will meet with a registered dietitian who is also a Certified Diabetes Educator for one hour and then enjoy a half-hour of seated strength training with a certified fitness expert. The first of eight sessions begins tonight at 7:30 p.m. at the CentraState Medical Center and costs $99.
