Five Things to Know Today: Jan. 23, 2012

A compilation of the need to know info and events going on in, and around, Manalapan Township and the Borough of Englishtown.

1. Rain and Temperate: Today is the day when all the snow that fell over the weekend will probably melt - so look out for the slush! According to the National Weather Service, there is an 80 percent chance of rainfall today and high temperature of 53. Tonight, rain showers will continue and the low temperature drops to about 41.

2. Government:

  • The MRC-CERT meets in the courtroom of the tonight at 7 p.m.
  • The Fire Prevention Committee meets tonight in room 107 of the at 8 p.m.

  • Boys and Girls Varsity Bowling vs. Howell High School at 3:30 p.m.
  • Girls Varsity Basketball vs. Monmouth Regional High School at 4 p.m.

4. FRHSD BOE: The Freehold Regional High School District Board of Education meets at their in Englishtown at 7 p.m. tonight. The public meeting opens at 8 p.m. For tonight’s agenda, click here.

 

 

5. Lock your Car Doors: within Manalapan Township. The automobile was unlocked with the keys left in the car  when the vehicle was stolen out of it’s driveway. High-end vehicle thefts stolen out driveways have been reported throughout Monmouth County since the early fall so police said it is important to make sure your car doors are locked and the keys or key fobs are not close to the vehicle.
