1. Excessive Heat: Today will be mostly sunny and very hot with high temperatures reaching 97, but heat indexes hitting around 105, according to the National Weather Service! An excessive heat warning has been issued for the region from noon today until 8 p.m. on Saturday. Tonight, the sky will be clear with a low of a a balmy 76.

3. Boys Grow Up: A health educator discusses the physical, chemical, social and emotional alterations that happen to boys during puberty. Boys ages 10 through 13 are encouraged to attend this taking place at CentraState Medical Center in Freehold tonight at 7 p.m. The class costs $18 per child; parents are free. 

 


4. Christie Ok’s Medical Marijuana: On Tuesday, Gov. Christie announced that . The dispensaries were left in limbo for over a month while the administration researched whether federal law would trump state law, meaning owners of the sites could be federally prosecuted since growing marijuana is illegal on a national scale. . Health Officer David Richardson is not sure what the future holds for the possible facility in Manalapan.
