Five Things to Know Today: July 25, 2011

1. Break in the Heat, with Rain to Beat: The National Weather Service is calling for a high around 87 today with a 40 percent chance of rain after 1 p.m. Tonight, expect clouds to roll in and temperatures to drop near 67; chance of rain 50 percent.

 


2. FRHSD BOE: The Freehold Regional High School District Board of Education meets tonight at 6 p.m. in their , when the board will make a motion to go into closed executive session; the regular meeting will reopen at 8 p.m. The agenda for tonight’s meeting indicates that Asst. School Bussiness Administrator and Asst. Board Secreatry Jason Schimpf will be resigning effective Sept. 30 for another position. Schimpf will have been with the school district one month shy of three years. The agenda also discloses the reappointments of top personnel with no raises, they will be reappointed at the same salary they had for the 2009-2010 school year and the 2010-2011 school year. 4. Local Film School: Starting today the Industry Film School located at 922 Rt. 33 in Freehold will be holding their third week of four boot camp courses this July. Each week is different and instructs students on new techniques in film and production. Classes last from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day of the week. The school covers everything from script-writing to directing to lighting a scene. Classes are open to all. Interested?
