1.) Sunny day, possible rainy night. According to the National Weather Service, you can expect a day similar to yesterday, with a high near 81 and a light west wind. At night, however, look out for a 50 percent chance of scattered showers and thunderstorms. New rainfall amounts could total between a quarter and half of an inch.

2.) School: the beginning of the end. Today will be four-hour school day for Manalapan-Englishtown Regional Schools. The Manalapan-Englishtown district reminds parents to update their electronic backpack notifications if their children are going to a different school. You can also sign up for the new district family backpack.

3.) Deadline today to help redesign Manalapan’s Applebee’s. Gate 3 Design is sprucing up the local Applebee’s and they want your help in creating photo murals. Submit your photos of sports teams, community events, Manalapan High School events, parades, police and fire departments, recreation leagues, etc. For more information on how to submit, . Again, the deadline for submissions is today, June 16!
