Five Things to Know Today: June 29, 2011

A compilation of the need to know info and events going on in, and around, Manalapan Township.

1. Not a cloud: The National Weather Service is calling for a mostly sunny day with a high near 84. Tonight, expect the skies to remain clear with a low near 60 degrees. 

 

2. Summer Activities for Teens: The Monmouth County Library is offering a wide variety of programs for teens this summer ranging from SAT Prep to Monopoly Tournaments. 3. No raises . . . yet?: On Monday, June 27 the Freehold Regional High School District Board of Education decided to pull the reappointments of administrators and specific other personnel, for the 2011-2012 school year, off the agenda. However, the board clarified that new superintendent, Charles Sampson, was not ready to recommend 2 percent raises, but that the raises could creep back onto a future board agenda.

4. Manalapan Soccer Club Fall 2011:  Registration for the Fall season is open! Groups up to U-12 cost $80 and 3M groups cost $100. To register online, click here.

 

5. Senior Center:

  • at 9:30 a.m.
  • Nutrition Presentation at 11 a.m.
  • Exercise Class at 1:45 p.m.
