1. Lovely Summer Weather: Temps hit around 87 today the sun will be shining for most of the day, according to the National Weather Service. Tonight, lows drop to near 66 and skies will be partly cloudy.

 


2. Air Quality Alert: A Code Orange Air Quality Alert has been issued by The New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection for all of Monmouth County. A Code Orange indicates that there are higher levels of air pollution concentrations that may be unhealthy for certain people, particularly senior citizens, children and people suffering from asthma. To avoid detrimental effects of the air pollution, the DEP recommends that all activity outdoors should be restricted.

3. Primary Election Day: Rock the vote today in the primary elections! Head over to and the from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. to vote.

4. New Release Tuesday:  is showing the 2010 film True Grit starring Jeff Bridges, Matt Damon, and Josh Brolin. The picture, directed by the Coen brothers, follows 14-year-old Mattie Ross as she teams up with U.S. Marshal Rooster Cogburn to find and kill the man who murdered her father. The library will play the movie TWICE today; the first showing is at 11 a.m. and the second showing is at 6:30 p.m.

 


5. New FRHSD Superintendent: Freehold Regional High School District welcomed Mr. Charles B. Sampson as the new superintendent. Don’t know much about him? Read about his background !
