Five Things to Know Today: March 7, 2012

1. High of 63!?: That’s right - the National Weather Service is calling for a sunny day with a high temperature around 63 degrees. The day will be a bit breezy with a west wind between 18 and 21 MPH. Tonight the temps drop to a low around 42, the sky remains clear, and the winds calm.

 

 

2. : Visit Ivy League Day Camp & Pre-School today from 10 a.m. to noon for an Open House. Tours of the school will be provided, school programs will be explained, and parents can observe classes in-session and meet teachers.

3. : As a part of the Library’s “Food for Thought: What’s on Your Plate?” series, Antonelle Di Lascia, the owner of Le Petit Chef, is teaching a hands-on cooking class for children today at the at 4:15 p.m. Kids ages 5-8 are invited to learn about about kitchen safety, food science, and food art! The calls is free and registration is required.

4. : The New Jersey Lottery, in conjunction with the Council on Compulsive Gambling and the Department of Human Services’ Division of Mental Health, is holding a press conference today at New Jersey Lottery Headquarters in Lawrenceville regarding National Problem Gambling Awareness Week (3/4-3/10) at 10 a.m.
