4. MNHS Evacuates Yesterday: The held a precautionary evacuation drill yesterday because one of the high students said, “bomb in the bathroom.” Principal Jeff Simon released a statement yesterday after the evacuation saying that district and state protocol was followed.
“We received tremendous support from the local law enforcement community; the police and fire officials carefully checked the building and cleared it for re-entry in a timely manner," the statement said. "Thanks go out to the students, teachers, supervisors, security guards and cafeteria workers for their cooperation. I am especially appreciative of the cafeteria workers who made sure every student was provided the opportunity to eat lunch.”
5. Bubble Wrap Craft: Remember that you registered for a while back? Well, today is the day to bring the kids down to the to create a genius work of art out of Bubble Wrap and markers! The craft begins today at 4:15 p.m. for kids in grade Kindergarten and up.
