2. Jazz Concert at the : Enjoy the soothing sounds of jazz? Well this weekend you can without traveling far! The Duke Ellington Legacy Band featuring Virginia Mayhew will play a at the on Sunday, Oct. 8 at 2 p.m.

4. Yom Kippur: Today is the highest of the holy days on the Jewish calendar, the “Day of Atonement”. Yom Kippur commemorates the day when God forgave the Jewish people who worshipped the Golden Calf, committing the cardinal sin of idolatry. This day now represents the special relationship the Jewish people have with God.

 

 

5. : This Sunday, Oct. 9 from noon to 4 p.m. the is holding their annual open house and food drive. The event includes a vehicle extrication demonstration, a fire extinguisher demonstration, a fire prevention trailer and demonstration, live tours of fire apparatus, and, of course, a food drive! The fire department is located at 3 S. Main St. in Englishtown.
