Five Things You Need To Know

Five things you need to know about today, April 5.

1. Happy Tuesday, Manalapan and Englishtown. Be prepared for a cold and rainy day as the National Weather Service is reporting that thunderstorms are a possibility and the temperature will fall to around 49 degrees by 3 p.m.

2. Ready, start, go. Manalapan High School Boys Varsity Track will face off against Middletown North High School at 3:45 p.m. at Middletown North High School, 63 Tindall Road.  The Manalapan High School Girl Braves will take off at the same time and the same location.

3. Does your kid want to explore the deep sea? Well come and celebrate Earth Day a little early with environmental educator Diana Dove. Go on a pretend whale-watching trip, see a 30-foot great white shark, handle artifacts from the ocean, sing songs, and learn how to protect the ocean environment. The event, which caters to kindergartners and up, begins at 4:15 p.m. at the Monmouth County Library.
