UPDATE: Power Restored to Nearly 2.6K in Manalapan
A major power outage has been reported in the Manalapan area.
UPDATE: As of Friday, Feb. 11 at 5 p.m., only 11 residents reportedly are still without power.

Jersey Central Power & Light (JCP&L) is reporting that 2,647 Manalapan residents are without power at 4 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 11.

According to a Monmouth County Police alert, the outage was caused by a tractor trailer which took down at least one power line in the area. An emergency services team is currently assessing the extent of the damage in regards to the fallen wires.
