Rainbow Academy Grand Opening

Rainbow Academy of Manalapan is holding their grand opening party this Saturday between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Everyone is welcome to drop by the new Rainbow Academy location the Towne Pointe Plaza at 357 Route 9.

Besides touring the facility, there will be classroom learning activities and crafts, interactive whiteboard demonstrations, exclusive vendors, and a ribbon cutting ceremony. Kids can enjoy face painting, sand art, inflatable prizes, and a dance party. Then, they can indulge in popcorn, cotton candy, a candy wheel, and more goodies from a gourmet food truck.

War of 1812 Commemoration Ceremony

The Monmouth County Library is holding a War of 1812 Commemoration ceremony on Sunday at 1 p.m. The afternoon will include a talk by the Commanding Officer of the Earle Naval Weapons Station, a concert by The Imperial Brass ensemble band, war artifacts, living historians for questions, a Amanda Grafton singing the National Anthem and the Star-Spangled Banner. Come  get your copy of “Our Flag Was Still There” signed by author William White. Oh, and special guests Francis Scott Key and First Lady Dolley Madison will be there.
