A Midsummer's Night Dream at Library Headquarters

The Next Stage Ensemble players return to Monmouth County Library Headquarters in Manalapan this summer, to perform a Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream.

Shakespeare’s most popular comedy portrays the adventures of four young lovers and a group of amateur actors, along with woodland fairies and a duke and duchess. The theme is about the world’s most popular pastime – falling in love.

Next Stage Ensemble, a division of The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey's Summer Professional Training Program, was created to nurture the work of early career actors and to train them in ensemble-based performance techniques.
