Infernos Band Honored At NYC Columbus Day Parade
The Infernos will not only have their own float in this years New York City Columbus Day Parade, but they will be performing on the Red Carpet. Two years ago they flew to the devastated earthquake city of L'Aquila, Italy and performed three benefit concerts to help 164,000 homeless victims of that disaster.
The Columbus Day Foundation, the organizers of the parade have honored leader Bobby Wells & The Infernos for their great humanitarian efforts to help rebuild the city of historical L'Aquila. Over $100,000 mobile command center was purchased with the monies collected from Infernos concert, here and in Italy.
The song "As L'Aquila Rise" was written by Matawan resident and Infernos lead singer Kenny Simmons along with Wells & Ferrante, Jr. It has been estimated that the song will be performed in front of over 7 million viewers.
But as always The Infernos doing what they do best...Rock The House !
