Englishtown Father of Heroin Victim Pens Heartfelt Letter

Kevin Ball's letter runs in this week's News Transcript.

A touching letter written by Kevin Ball in memory of his daughter, Morgan, appears in this week's News Transcript Weekly and other General Media papers.

Morgan Ball died of a heroin overdose in December 2008 when she was 22. Her father still searches for understanding of how this fate could visit his daughter, a Manalapan High School graduate whom he described at "beautiful, an athlete, popular, funny."

In response to a contributor who lost a cousin to heroin, Ball says that establishing a scholarship does "nothing to ease the sadness, but its nice to keep her memory alive outside our home." The family sponsors a scholarship in her name.
