Manalapan and Englishtown Halloween Guide 2012

Everything you need to know about local Halloween events and guidelines.

Are you ready for spooky tricks and delicious treats? Halloween is never without excitement and fun, and Manalapan Township and Englishtown Borough are full of safe, hair-raising Halloween adventures!

Friday, Oct. 26: The Monmouth County Library is holding a Halloween Monster Bash from 6 p.m. - 9 p.m. for teenagers in sixth grade through twelfth grade. Registration is required. To register, please click here, fill out the form, and then submit. And don't forget to wear your costume!

Tuesday, Oct. 30:  The annual Englishtown Halloween Party at the Englishtown Fire Department is taking place from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Children must be ten-years-old and higher. The cost for admission is $3.

The Englishtown Halloween curfew for Tuesday begins at 8 p.m. and lasts until 6 a.m. This means that no one under the age of 18 is allowed on the streets during these hours unless you are travelling from a place of employment, a school or place of instruction, a function being held at a religious, school, civic, or other properly supervised event (the Englishtown Halloween Party qualifies), or a social meeting, gathering or assemblage being held at someone’s residence, according to the Englishtown curfew.

The Manalapan Halloween curfew for Tuesday begins at 9 p.m. and lasts until 6 a.m. This means that no one under the age of 18 is allowed on the streets during these hours unless you are returning home from work, night school, a doctor or dentist's office, or if you are with a parent or guardian.

Wednesday, Oct. 31 - HALLOWEEN: The Manalapan Township Halloween Hullabaloo is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Manalapan Township Municipal Building. Halloween Hullabaloo offers a safe environment for local children to trick-or-treat. Donations for this event were provided by Wegmans.

The Englishtown Halloween curfew for Wednesday begins at 8 p.m. and lasts until 6 a.m. This means that no one under the age of 18 is allowed on the streets during these hours unless you are travelling from a place of employment, a school or place of instruction, a function being held at a religious, school, civic, or other properly supervised event, or a social meeting, gathering or assemblage being held at someone’s residence, according to the Englishtown curfew. Trick-or-Treat must end at 8 p.m. in Englishtown on Halloween, according to the new law.

The Manalapan Halloween curfew for Wednesday begins at 9 p.m. and lasts until 6 a.m. This means that no one under the age of 18 is allowed on the streets during these hours unless you are returning home from work, night school, a doctor or dentist's office, or if you are with a parent or guardian.

 

Friday, Nov. 2: The Manalapan Monster Mania Halloween event will take place at the Manalapan Recreation Center basketball courts from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. The event will be held rain or shine. This year’s event will include Miss Melissa’s Halloween Sing, Halloween Magic Show featuring Mark Wurtz, the annual Parade and Costume Contest followed by the Fright Fest and Haunted Trail.

  • 5:30 p.m. – Miss Melissa’s Halloween Sing-along
  • 6 p.m. – Halloween Magic Show featuring Mark Wurst
  • 6:45 p.m. – Parade and Costume Contest
  • 7 p.m. – Fright Fest and Haunted Trail

Note: This event was originally scheduled for Monday, Oct. 29 but was postponed due to the inclement weather.
