Manalapan Girl Recognized for Performing Arts Accomplishments

Constance Kaita received an official proclamation from the mayor of Manalapan in recognition of her extraordinary musical abilities and awards.

Manalapan resident Constance Kaita was recognized last week at the Manalapan Townhsip Committee meeting for her accomplishments in Performing Arts.

Kaita is a 2012 graduate of the Medical Sciences Learning Center of Freehold High School, a selective math and sciences program. Kaita is also an award winning pianist and violinist. She will be considered a Peabody representative of Johns Hopkins University very soon, according to a proclamation read by Mayor Susan Cohen.

Over the past two years, Kaita has received numerous awards in music:

  • First place winner of the Steinway Society Scholarship Competition
  • Grand Winner of the National League of Performing Arts National Young Musicians Showcase Competition
  • Semi-finalist in Cooper International Piano Competition of the Oberlin Conservatory
  • Winner of the state-wide branch of the Music Teachers’ National Association Piano Competition


“We are very proud of the extraordinary talent of our young resident and wish Constance continued good luck and success in her future endeavors,” Cohen said.
