Former European Auto Owner Dies at 71

Ralph White owned European Auto and the Manalapan and Monmouth Heights Shell Service Centers in Manalapan before retiring.

Ralph L. White, 71, of Howell passed away surrounded by his family on Friday, April 26, 2013 at Community Medical Center, Toms River. Ralph was born in Butler, PA and had lived in California and Perth Amboy before moving to Howell in 1971. He was the owner of European Auto in Manalapan before retiring and also the owner of Manalapan and Monmouth Heights Shell Service Centers. Ralph was a hard working family man, who took great joy in spending time with his family.

He was predeceased by his wife, Mary in 2001. Ralph is survived by two sons, Ralph J. White of Freehold Township and Timothy White of South Brunswick; four daughters, Marguerite White of Florida, Jenine White of Toms River, Jennie Allen and her husband, Bill of Somerville and Angela White of Long Branch; and six grandchildren, Jordan, Nicole, Erin, William, Emily and Katelyn.

Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Tuesday, April 30, 2013 from 2 to 4 p.m. & 7 to 9 p.m.. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his 11 a.m. funeral service at the funeral home on Wednesday, May 1, 2013. Interment to follow in St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Freehold.
