Former Manalapan Resident Dies at 96

Dorothy Spector lived in Manalapan before moving to New Haven, Conn.

Dorothy Spector, formerly of Manalapan, passed away peacefully at home in New Haven, Conn. on Friday, Dec. 6, 2013. Dorothy was predeceased by her beloved husband, Paul after 63 years of marriage in 2002. She was the matriarch of her family and they were her avid supporters.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Richard and Jan Spector of Manalapan, and Janet and Ted Coladarci of Bangor, ME; grandchildren, Jennifer (Alan) Walker, Jason (Tanya) Spector and Matthew Spector, all of New Jersey, Alison (Tom) Crane from Maine and Gregory Coladarci from New York, and the joy of her life her three great-grandchildren, Alyssa, Darien and Jake.

Services were private and a celebration of her life was held at Tower One in New Haven, CT where she had resided for the last two years. Anyone wishing to make a donation in Dorothy's name may do so to The Connecticut Hospice, 100 Double Beach Road, Branford, CT 06405.
