Manalapan HS Alum Dies at 56

David Johnson Kendalton died last week after a battle with multiple myeloma and amyloidosis.

David Johnson Kendalton, 56, passed away peacefully and went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 16, 2013, at the Haven Hospice Specialty Care Unit in New York City after a three month battle with Multiple Myeloma and Amyloidosis. David was born on March 13, 1957 in Paul Kimball Hospital, Lakewood, NJ, and lived in Toms River prior to moving to Manhattan 23 years ago. 
He graduated from Manalapan High School and later studied at the School of Visual Arts in New York City. As a young man, David started out as a photographer's assistant, and then worked as a photographer for Gianninoto Design Firm for 18 and 1/2 years. After that, her worked for Brooks Brothers as a proficient, highly detailed proofreader. David also dabbled in acting and comedy and was a student of Marilyn Sokol. David was a good-hearted person who was beloved by his family and friends. He enjoyed listening to jazz, making homemade candles, and doing impersonations. 

David is survived by his father, Dave Johnson of Tome River, NJ; his sister, Nancy Krampert of Selinsgrove, PA; his half-sister, Lisa Mott of West Lafayette, IN; nephews, Thomas and Charles Krampert and Evan Mott; nieces, Katie Suttles and Anna Mott; great-nieces, Emily and Bethany Suttles; and great-nephews, Jackson and Bradley Suttles and Tommy Krampert III. David was predeceased by his mother, Shirley McKelvey Sheehy; and his grandmother, Marguerite Glaspey.

There will be a viewing on Tuesday, July 23, 2013, at 10AM at Bible Baptist Church, Kreamer, PA. A Funeral Service to celebrate David's life will be held at the church at 11AM with burial to follow at Salem Lutheran Church Cemetery in Selinsgrove, PA.
