Manalapan Rec Program Coach Dies at 49

Michael Confessore was a communicant of St. Thomas More Church, a member of the Yorktowne Social Club, and a former member of Englishtown's Prince of Peace.

Beloved husband and father, Michael Joseph Confessore, 49, of Manalapan Township died Friday, May 17, 2013 in Manalapan Township. He was born in Kearny. Michael devoted his life to the care of his family. The love of his family was the center of his world. He was a dedicated baseball, soccer, and basketball coach in the Manalapan Recreation Program for 20 years.

Michael enjoyed camping, fishing, boating, and had a love of the outdoors. He was a communicant of St. Thomas More R.C. Church, Manalapan Township and a former member of Prince of Peace Council No. 5903, Englishtown and a member of the Yorktowne Social Club. He will be deeply missed by his loving wife, children, family, and friends. Michael was a graduate of Colonia High School, Class of 1981 and Rider University, Class of 1985. He was a manager for AT&T, Piscataway where he was recently honored for his 25 years of dedicated service.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Marion T. Confessore in 2006. Michael is survived by his devoted wife and best friend of 25 years, Susan Elizabeth Confessore; three loving children, Michael Paul, Nicole Theresa & Dominick Louis Confessore; his father, Dominick Joseph Confessore; two brothers and sisters-in-laws, Robert and Debbie Confessore, Tinton Falls, and Joseph and Cheryl Confessore, South Brunswick; a sister and brother-in-law, Karen and Tom Haby, Hillsborough; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Paul and Anne Corey, Manchester Township; his brothers-in-law and sister-in-law, Stephen Corey, Brick, Timothy and Julie Corey, North Carolina and Sheila and Patrick Smith, California; 16 nieces and nephews, two great nieces and 16 great aunts and uncles.

Visiting hours will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Tuesday, May 21, 2013 from 2 to 4and 6 to 8 p.m. The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at St. Thomas More Church, 186 Gordon's corner Road, Manalapan on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m.
