Monroe Obituary: Robert Scott, 73

Scott lived in Monroe for almost 30 years.

Robert T. Scott, 73, of Monroe Township, died Sunday, Feb. 17, 2013, peacefully in the loving presence of his family at home.

Born in Abington, Pa., Scott was raised in Newtown, Pa. and then lived most of his life in Ewing before moving to Monroe in 1984. Bob retired in 2006 after 28 years as owner/operator of R. Scott Excavating formerly of Ewing and currently Monroe. He was an avid hunter and NASCAR racing fan. Most of all he was a dedicated husband and father to his family, and dedicated to his business and his customers.

Son of the late Harry T. and Kathryn Real Scott, husband of the late Barbara A. Bozek Scott, he is survived by his loving children, his two daughters and a son-in-law, Susan L. and Ross Varra of Hamilton, Kimberly A. Scott of Monroe Township, three sons, Robert M. and Linda Scott of Manalapan, Timothy M. Scott and fiancée Cherie Fiel of East Windsor, Jeffrey T. Scott of Monroe Township; two grandchildren, Robert R. Varra and Ashley A. and husband Pierre Bonilla; his great-grandson, Triston Bonilla; two sisters, Lois Nugent and Theresa Crawford, both of Ewing; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at noon Wednesday at the Winowicz Funeral Chapel, 865 Brunswick Ave., North Trenton. Burial will be in St. Hedwig's Cemetery, Ewing. Calling hours will be from 10:30 a.m. to noon (time of service) Wednesday at the funeral chapel.
