Obituary: John J. Dooley, 88

Dooley lived in Manalapan for 46 years.

John J. Dooley, 88, of Manalapan, died suddenly on Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2012, at home. Born in County Limerick, Ireland, he has resided in Manalapan for the past 46 years. He was a communicant of St. Thomas More Catholic Church, Manalapan. John was a building manager for Cross and Brown Real Estate in Manhattan before retiring.

He was predeceased by his wife, Kathleen, in 2003. He is survived by his children and their spouses, Mary and William L'Hotta of Chicago, Patrick and Carol of Rutherford, John of Manalapan, and Kathy Ivins of Manalapan; and six grandchildren.

Family and friends may visit from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 27 at Freeman Manalapan-Marlboro Funeral Home, 344 Route 9 North, Manalapan. A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 28 at St. Thomas More Church, Manalapan. Interment will follow at Old Tennent Cemetery, Manalapan.
