Obituary: Mary "Dolly" Razzano Karpeles, 77

Karpeles lived in Manalapan for the past 19 years.

Mary "Dolly" Razzano Karpeles, 77, of Manalapan, died at home surrounded by her loving family, on Tuesday, April 17, 2012. Born on Staten Island, NY, she lived there until moving to Manalapan 19 years ago.

She was a clerk in the pension department of the International Longshoreman's Association in Manhattan for many years before retiring. Mary was famous throughout her life for her delicious baked goods, meatballs and potato salad.

She was predeceased by her son, Steven; her grandson, Anthony Greco III; and her three siblings, Anthony, Michael and Antoinette Razzano. Mary is survived by her husband, Frank; her son and daughter-in-law, Frank and Lora-Ann of Nevada; her two daughters and sons-in-law, Donna and Salvatore Scacco of Holmdel, and Patricia and Anthony Greco of Manalapan; two grandchildren, Gina Scacco-Coiro and her husband, Angelo of Aberdeen, and Alexandra Greco-Dragonetti and her husband, Ermenegildo of Manchester; and two great-grandchildren, Giada Coiro and Giuseppe Dragonetti.

Family and friends are invited to visit from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, April 19 at the , 344 Route 9 North, Manalapan. A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, April 20 at St. Gabriel's Historic Church, Route 520, Marlboro. Entombment will follow at the parish mausoleum.
