Did you know your rights are in jeopardy ??

Did you know, that when it comes to New Jersey Firearm laws, NJ Senate President Stephen M. Sweeney is willing to negotiate your rights away. Now you ask yourself, what does this mean. Let me explain.

last year, as we all mourned the senseless deaths of those children in the Sandy Hook School. New Jersey legislators rushed to enter legislation that did nothing to fight rime, but for the most part, only placed more restrictions on the law abiding citizen. Why you ask, they will tell you because we were pressured to "Do Something"...

So here we are again. This time Senate President Sweeney is playing political games with your rights. He is looking to trade with New Jersey gun Owners the right to stop and Pee for a reduction in Magazine capacity. Regardless that New Jersey has had a magazine restriction for the last 20 years already. So for the million legal gun owners in New Jersey, who abide by the law. Who have gone through great expense to purchase magazines and have them converted to be legal. To be forbidden from purchasing certain rifles such as a Marlin 60 .22 cal rifle. Why, because it is a tubular magazine that holds 17 rounds. Two more then legally allowed. Now ask yourself, why do the feel that this is necessary. Well, it is simple enough. Because mayor Bloomberg paraded the Sandy Hook Families around the country, including here in New Jersey to push for a magazine limit of 10 rounds. Because they feel, that it will save lives if an active shooter has to take the second or two to reload. 

What they don't tell you, is that you as a citizen will be at disadvantage against the criminals. Why, because they are not going to care about any magazine restrictions. They will almost always have the element of surprise against you. And who says they travel alone?? Whether you own a gun or not, we the people should not allow this to happen. 

Now what do us law abiding citizens get for the pleasure of being turned into criminals. We get to Stop and pee if we go to the range. You ask yourself, what does that mean?? Well, in New Jersey, you are only allowed to transport your firearm directly from your residence to the range/hunting location and back. Any deviation from this route maybe considered "Unreasonable" by a law enforcement officer, and you may be arrested under New Jersey's draconian transport laws.
Did you know, that you cannot stop to get a cup of coffee for your drive. You cannot go pick up a friend to go with you. You cannot even stop to use the restroom. Stephen Sweeney things he may keep the civilians calm, by trading one for the other. When in reality, that the law Abiding NJ citizen is already burdened with draconian laws, that require them to tread lightly.
