3 People in Possession of 19 Stolen Gift Cards at Wegmans

The New York residents attempted to purchase a number of $100 gift card using a stolen gift card, police reported.

Manalapan police arrested three Brooklyn residents at Wegmans on Monday, Feb. 4 for allegedly attempting to pay for numerous $100 gift cards using a gift card that was unable to be processed at Wegmans.

Dorian Dunn, 24, William Townsend, 19, and Cynthia McIntosh, 20, were in possession of 19 stolen, or fraudulent, gift cards, a police investigation revealed.

All three were arrested and transported to the Manalapan Police Department to be processed and fingerprinted. Townsend and McIntosh were charged with conspiracy to commit theft and criminal attempt to commit theft and were taken to Monmouth County Correctional Institute in default of $10,000.

Dunn was charged with conspiracy to commit theft, criminal attempt to commit theft and being in possession of a false Kentucky driver’s license as identification. He, also, was transported to Monmouth County Correctional Institution on $12,500.

All three have since been released from Monmouth County Correctional Institution. This case is pending further investigation.
