$45K in Jewelry Stolen from Manalapan Home

Two residential burglaries took place at the end of April, according to police.

The have reported several home burglaries at the end of April where various money and jewelry were stolen.

On April 21, a home located on Barrister Lane was broken into sometime between 11:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m., police said.  A myriad of items were stolen from the residence, including $45 thousand dollars worth of jewelry, personal paperwork, and a safe. The burglar or burglars appear to have entered the home a rear window, according to police. Ptl. Bryan Belardo was initially appointed to the investigation, but the case is still under further investigation.

Between the hours of 11 p.m. on April 21 and 8 a.m. on April 22, a Christie Court home was illegally enterred and various items were stolen, including a watch, wedding ring, necklace and cash, police said. The intruder entered the home through the garage which leads into the main portion of the house. Ptl. George Heitz and Detective Leonard Maltese are currently handling this investigation.
