7-Eleven Cashier Struck in Face by Customer

The assailant has not yet been identified and arrested by Manalapan police.

A man reportedly assaulted the cashier of the 7-Eleven on Route 9 North in Manalapan on Sunday, March 24, according to Manalapan police.

The cashier, 30, of Parlin, told police that two men came into the store at about 12:15 a.m. and one of them had a discussion with him about buying cigarettes. The man then lunged at the cashier and hit him in the face with a closed fist, police said.

The surveillance cameras in the convenience store captured the attack. The man who assaulted the cashier has not yet been identified and arrested, according to Captain Michael Fountain. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
