Alleged Jewelry Thieves from Manalapan Indicted

Two young Manalapan residents allegedly robbed jewelry from a local home.

Two Manalapan residents have been indicted by the Monmouth County Grand Jury on charges of theft and receiving stolen property. Monica Shrayfel, 19, of Smock Court and Max Borruso, 20, of Pension Road were each indicted on two separate counts.

Shrayfel was indicted on one count of theft of movable property. According to the indictment issued by the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office, Shrayfel allegedly stole jewelry valued in excess of $500 from an individual in Manalapan on Nov. 11.

On Nov. 12, Borruso received the stolen jewelry, with the knowledge that it had been stolen, in or around Marlboro and Manalapan Township, the indictment said. Borruso was indicted on one count of receiving stolen property.

According to police, Borruso allegedly sold approximately $5,000 of the victim’s jewelry on Nov. 12.
