Police: Armed Robbery at CVS on Route 33, Perp Fled the Scene

The perpetrator exhibited a gun and robbed a Manalapan CVS early Monday morning.

A , located at the intersection of Woodward Rd. and Rt. 33, encountered an armed robber at approximately 1 a.m. this morning, Capt. Chris Marsala of the confirmed.

The identity of the perpetrator is unknown, however, police are describing him as a white male standing at an estimated height of 6'2". The robber was wearing a black ski mask and glasses at the time of the robbery.

A cashier, threatened with a hand gun, turned over approximately $470 in cash to the robber, police said. The robber then fled the scene.

Ptl. Turner of the Manalapan Police Department prompted the investigation. The scene of the crime was processed by Detective Kevin Schmidt and the Monmouth County Sheriff's Office provided a K-9 unit, police said.
