Attempted Home Burglary, Recent Thefts in Manalapan

$5,000 worth of brass and copper was stolen from a resident's home.

The Manalapan Police have reported one attempted burglary of a home residence and a variety of thefts throughout the township.

------------------------

Burglars were deterred from a Manalapan home after the home alarm was set off during an attempted burglary on Thursday, May 2. Between 2:45 p.m. and 3:15 p.m. someone tried to enter the home by trying to force open the front door, but was unsuccessful. The perpetrator then went to the back of the home, removed the screen of the rear patio window, and pushed in the locked bottom part of the window, which ultimately set off the alarm. Nothing within the home was disturbed or stolen. Anyone with information is encouraged to call Det. Aronson at 732-446-4300.
