Candlelight Vigil in Manalapan Commemorates 9/11

Candles lit up the Manalapan Township Arboretum in honor of those residents who lost their lives on 9/11.

Last night the Manalapan community gathered around the Sept. 11 memorial in front of the for a candlelight vigil to pay homage to those who lost their lives in the terrorist attacks 11 years ago.

The names of every Manalapan resident who lost his or her life on Sept. 11, 2001 were read aloud in remembrance and a moment of silence was held in their honor after the candles were blown out.

The mother of Christopher Gray, who lost his life on Sept. 11, Janet Gray, spoke at the memorial service. She noted how eerily similar the weather was eleven years ago and thanked God for another beautiful day of life.
