Car Collides into Pole on Pease Road
A JCP&L pole snaps in half after a motor vehicle slammed into it on Friday, July 8.
At approximately 8:40 a.m. on Friday, July 8 a motor vehicle struck a pole on Pease Road near the cross street Madigan Lane, according to the Breaking News Network.
The pole was a part of the Jersey Central Power and Light network of poles carrying high wires down Pease Road. Injuries were reported, according to the BNN.
Manalapan Police were dispatched to the scene. Lt. Barstow, of the police department, would not make any comment regarding details of the accident since the investigation is ongoing.

Traffic on Pease Road is clear; several traffic cones block off the section of the road where the pole has snapped and fallen. A large hole where the pole enters the ground is currently visible and about half way up the pole the wood has snapped. The top portion of the pole is currently lying on the side of the road with the wires draped across the sidewalk.
