$30K Worth of Merchandise Stolen from 99Perfume.com Warehouse

The burglar, or burglars, gained entry through a hole in a cinder block wall, according to police.

EPI Enterprises, LLC. on Madison Avenue in Manalapan Township was burglarized and approximately $30,000 worth of merchandise was stolen, the Manalapan Police Department has reported.

Ptl. Jason Vigneault first responded to the business, which is the corporate headquarters for 99Perfume.com, a retail website selling perfume and cologne, on Saturday, Jan. 19 for an alarm being set off.

The exterior of the building was checked and deemed to be secure. While the interior was being investigated, police determined that the building had been entered by an intruder through a hole in a cinder block wall which led to an exterior utility room.

Once the wall was broken through, the alarm was not able to be reset, Manalapan Police Captain Michael Fountain said. The individual, or individuals, returned to the business several hours later and stole the products.

Police responded to the business shortly before 9:15 a.m. on Sunday, Jan. 20 to the reported burglary when it was determined that $30,000 worth of merchandise was taken.

A stolen car from the business parking lot was recovered by Ptl. Philip Accatatta and is being processed for forensic evidence, Fountain said.

The burglary is currently under investigation by Detective Leonard Maltese and Ptl. Jeff Emslie.
