Donated Clothes and Money Stolen in Manalapan

A compilation of business, car, home, and school thefts in Manalapan Township.

The Manalapan Police Department have reported a variety of thefts throughout Manalapan Township within the past few weeks.

Business Thefts

  • A representative of Northeastern Import Export Company, based in Woodbridge, reported to police that donated clothing was being stolen from the clothing donation bins located in the commuter parking lots throughout Manalapan. An investigation by police revealed that unknown people were going in and removing the donated clothing. The theft report was received on March 27 and it is currently being handled by Ptl. Dominick Donatelli, Jr. 
  • A 47-year-old woman told police that $55 in cash was stolen from her Tennent Road business on March 20. The cash was removed from an Embrace the Kids Foundation donation container located within the business. The foundation benefits children with cancer and blood disorders. The money was taken at some point between 6:15 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. This case is pending further investigation.

  • A 14k gold bracelet, valued at $2,931.80, was reportedly stolen from the residence of a 63-year-old Manalapan woman. The woman reported the theft to police on March 21, she said that she last saw the bracelet one month ago. The report was handled by Ptl. Matthew Meyler. 
  • A 23-year-old Manalapan man reported to police that his bicycle was stolen from his front lawn on March 20. The red Giant bicycle was left on his lawn unlocked; the bike is valued at $296.80. Anyone with information on the stolen bicycle is encouraged to contact the Manalapan Police Department.

Vehicle Thefts

  • A 43-year-old Manalapan man reported that his car was stolen from his driveway during the overnight hours between March 26 and March 27. The car, a new 2013 Audi S7 with NY temporary registration, was unlocked and the key was located inside of the vehicle.
  • A 21-year-old Hillcrest Road man told police that at some point between 10:30 p.m. on March 13 and noon on March 14 a Samsung Galaxy 5.0 player was stolen from his car that was parked in the driveway at the time. The player was valued at $225, according to police. This theft is currently under investigation.

School Thefts

  • Size 10 royal blue and white Retro 4 Jordan military style shoes were reportedly stolen from a boy's unsecured locker at the Manalapan-Englishtown Middle School on March 21. The schools were valued at $210.
