UPDATE: Tennant Reopened in Englishtown Following Accident Tuesday Night

A vehicle struck a pole on Tennent Ave. (CR 522) at Harrison Avenue.

Wednesday, July 23, 8:15 a.m.: 
UPDATE: Tennent Ave (CR 522) was reopened at 8:00 a.m. Wednesday.
The road had to be closed between Main Street (CR 527) and Irving Place. 

Harrison remains closed between Tennent and Hamilton

Utility crews worked through the night to repair the utilty pole at the corner of Tennent Avenue and Harrison Avenue that was severed last night at 8:00 pm by a single vehicle motor vehicle collision, police said in a message distributed by the Nixle alert system. 

Tennent Avenue (Route 522) in Englishtown has been reopened to all traffic.
Utility crews are still on location and have relocated to Harrison Avenue resulting in Harrison Avenue remaining closed between Tennent Avenue and Hamilton Street.

Utility crews are estimating that all work will be completed by 11:00am.

Tuesday, July 22, 10:30 p.m.

A driver was transported to the hospital by first aid following an accident on
Tennent Ave. Tuesday night, around 9:25 p.m.

Englishtown Police report that a vehicle struck a pole on Tennent Ave. (CR 522) at Harrison Avenue.

The road had to be closed between Main Street (CR 527) and Irving Place.

Harrison Avenue is closed at Hamilton Street and Tennent Ave.

Englishtown Police, Englishtown Fire and JCP&L are on location.

The road will remain closed for investigation and repairs. An estimate of when it would re-open was not immediately known Tuesday night.
