Dump Truck Falls on School Bus in Englishtown

No children were on the school bus at the time of the accident and no injuries were reported.

Shortly before 10 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 14 a fully loaded dump truck filled with stones lost control and fell on its side on top of the front of a school bus, the Manalapan Township Fire Company #1 has reported.

The incident occured around 64 Main Street in Englishtown. There was one child and an aide on the bus at the time of the accident, Lt. Peter Cooke of the Englishtown Police Department said. There were no reported injuries, however, according to Manalapan Township Fire Company #1.

The truck apparently lost control, struck a white SUV, and then rolled over, landing on top of the bus.

Three heavy duty two trucks from Boyce's Towing and a bulldozer arrived on the scene to move the truck into an upright position and push the stones away from the bus.

The Manalapan Township Fire Company #1 and the Englishtown Fire Department responded to the scene.
