Englishtown Police are warning the public that they will be actively looking for unbelted motorists through June 1.

The department's annual initiative may include seat belt checkpoints and saturation patrols, according to a department news release Sunday. It is part of the nationwide Click It or Ticket 2014 campaign.

The goal of the New Jersey Division of Highway Traffic Safety is to increase the front seat belt usage rate in New Jersey to 92 percent from the current rate of 91 percent. Rear seat belt usage will also be enforced.

Patch better ask itself why it is removing posts. Maybe they should read the First Amendment. And then they should read up on Germany during the Second World War, and see how the Nazi controlled the press. Is the Patch going to do the right thing or be told what to do. The Mayor and Council should be ashamed of themselves as to what is going on.

Ms laura, I said mikes name because I heard he was getting a raw deal I like him very much I have a ton of respect for him!! Do not imply I am a law breaker 59 years on this earth I have never gotten in trouble . You really should talk with a few people that have lived in Englishtown most of there lives. They can tell it like it is. I have family member,s that work for the p/d and I have tons of respect for what they do. Im am not a selfish man. My words for mike were he is AN ASSET TO THE FORCE MEANING A GOOD MAN TRYING TO DO HIS JOB ! A rare thing today!
