Hazardous Weather Outlook Issued for Manalapan

Heavy thunderstorms with flooding is expected for Monmouth County.

A Hazardous Weather Outlook and a Special Weather Statement has been issued for Manalapan and other areas of Monmouth County.

According to the statement, strong thunderstorms with heavy rain expected causing as much as 1.5 inches of rain to fall within 45 minutes from storms. 30 to 40 mile-per-hour gusts are also possible with these storms.

The statement further explains that due to the heavy rains, road flooding is likely. Tracking of the storms is believed to be moving from West Freehold to Holmdel.
