The Manalapan Township Police Department has set up a Facebook page so that residents can be made aware of local safety information and traffic alerts.

The page also establishes a more open communication with residents, according to Ptl. Kevin Ruditsky. If a resident has a question or concern about Manalapan Township events they can post onto the Facebook page or send a private message.

"Since we've joined Facebook, [the Manalapan Police Department has] found it a valuable tool to reach our residents and create a more personal relationship with them," Ruditsky said.
