Englishtown Man Arrested for Allegedly Breaking into Freehold Home

The Englishtown man also gave police false information upon arrest.

arrested an Englishtown man for breaking into a borough home on June 15.

Lawrence Preston, 26, of Englishtown, allegedly broke into a home on West Main St. by damaging the screen door and the lock. When the police asked for his information, he gave them a false name and birthday.

According to the arrest warrant, Preston is charged with burglary, hindering and criminal mischief.

He, also, had outstanding warrants at the time of his arrest; he was wanted in Greenville, North Carolina.

Preston is scheduled to appear in court on June 19 at 1:00 p.m.  His bail is set at $150,000.
