Man Laughs at Victim with Black Stocking on Head, Charged with Annoyance and Stalking

A Manalapan resident has been arrested for allegedly stalking and threatening another Manalapan resident repeatedly.

Fred Azer, a resident of Tracy Drive in Manalapan, has been arrested by for allegedly stalking and harassing another Manalapan man.

Azer, 35, has repeatedly followed Michael Vengersky, of Lafayette Mills Rd., annoyed him, and placed him in a reasonable fear of death or bodily injury, according to two arrest warrants issued by the Manalapan Police Department.

The warrants allege that Azer followed Vengersky to the , located on Rt. 9 North in Manalapan, with a black stocking over his head. Azer then approached Vengersky and laughed at him as he fled the scene.

According to police, Azer has also approached Vengersky recurrently at his home and threatened him.

Azer has been charged with inconvenient annoyance and stalking. He is currently remanded in Monmouth County Correctional Institute in default of $10,000 bail. Azer’s initial court appearance in front of Judge John G. Colannino will be at March 5 at 9 a.m.
