Manalapan and Englishtown Police Charge Men with Heroin Possession

Two men were arrested and charged with heroin possession in Manalapan and Englishtown.

Manalapan and Englishtown police have each made a heroin possession arrest this July. 

Englishtown police arrested Nicolas Scarano in the borough on July 19 for allegedly being in possession of heroin. Scarano, 32, of Pine Street in Englishtown, was found to be in possession of 47 wax folds containing a white powder believed to be heroin, police said. He was arrested by Patrolman Nick Costagliola and remanded in Monmouth County Jail in default of $10,000 bail. 

Manalapan police also arrested and charged a man with heroin possession on July 6. Edward Walsh Jr., of East Stroudsburg, Pa. was found to be in possession of heroin and a hypodermic needle while parked in a car on Thomas Drive. Walsh, 32, was arrested and charged with possession of heroin, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle, and improper parking. He was released on his own recognizance.
