Manalapan Boy Assaulted and Robbed of Air Jordans

The boy was pushed to the ground and robbed of his expensive sneakers and hat.

A 14-year-old Manalapan boy was reportedly assaulted and robbed of his Nike Air Jordan sneakers and hat on Saratoga Drive on June 21, according to police. 

Ptl. Kevin Ruditsky responded to the scene after the alleged assault and robbery was reported at 6:30 p.m. The victim told Ruditsky that he was spending time with two other boys he was acquainted with when a fight among the three boys broke out, police said. 

One of the boys, described as tan with short hair and wearing a sleeveless basketball jersey and white shoes, pushed the victim to the ground and removed his Nike Air Jordan sneakers, which were valued at $260, according to police.

Then, the second boy, whom was described as being approximately 5-foot, 5 inches tall and muscular, took the victim’s hat, which is valued at $30. The boys then ran away, police said.
